Here we are at the Children's Museum at the Gateway. Henry asks to go every time we stop at the mall. We finally made it back in July for Hillary's birthday. She brought her friend Morgan and they disappeared quickly to explore the big kid stuff without me. Henry still digs hanging out with me, so I sat and watched him strengthen the right side of his brain. It was glorious. Phrases in the voice of my college child development professor played over in my head.

Five year-olds never wake up wondering if they'll get to sit in a real, live helicopter. It just suddenly happens to them. The look of joy on their face is the real deal.
We ended the day at Iggys, Hillary's favorite place for eats.
Hillary is the only kid I know who goes "strictly vanilla."
Aw, summer. You come and go so quickly. Thanks for the good times!
"Aren't you lucky you have such adorable children?" I was thinking of what I should say and Emily provided the answer. They are indeed adorable. Of course, your children have an adorable mother! You are a great one Tatiana. Thanks for the trip down Sesame Street musical memory lane. Fun.
ReplyDeleteGramps wants to know why he never got to play with the "contraption thingy"...? Sounds like a fun day and don't we all love the chance to do some dreamy thing we didn't think would ever be possible? I remember the glorious fall day Darrell stopped at Walden Pond and said, "do you want to walk around it?" I said, "The whole thing?" and he said, "sure". And we did!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun day of play. Very cute photos. Can't believe summer is really over, but so happy that Jonny is in your class. Lucky boy. See you in the morning.
ReplyDeleteSo cute. I was just sitting here checking blogs. Little Henry informed me that there was cute pictures of him on his blog... indeed there is! So fun to have him come play!
ReplyDeleteTatiana,
ReplyDeleteJonny was nervous yesterday morning for his first day of school, but when I picked him up he was beaming and said that his teacher Tatiana was the best teacher ever! He loves you! Which made this morning's dropoff so much happier. I thank you!
Thanks, Jeni! Those are daymaker comments!
