Henry just did this. I didn't even ask. I got home from the gym, and there they were, Forest and Little Forest all snugged up together reading about Buzz and Woody. I enjoyed eavesdropping for a few pages, and you know what? Shuggie never skipped a page. It's fun to hear the boys getting in their quality time.

Father son reading, awesome! Mike is the designated reader in our family and he takes forever talking about everything on the page, I've been known to walk by and say things like "seriously, it's Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, wrap it up already!" I'm gonna give him all the credit for Addie being such a great reader.
ReplyDeleteAnd about the book your reading, Addie came home one day with that from the library last year (first grade). Obviously a little harder than the Junie B. Jones series so I ended up reading it and found it quite entertaining!

i love peas and carrots and books are the best! there is a magic to words when read aloud by a mom or dad - and even occassionaly by an auntie.
